The theatre performance Tula tells the story of the leader of the great uprising of the enslaved in Curaçao in 1795. Tula was a respected leader within his community and fought for freedom and equality in line with the French Revolution. Storyteller and theatremaker Archell Thompson interprets Tula's story and shows the impact Tula's story has on his own life in the here and now.
Archell Thompson is a Rotterdam storyteller and theatremaker of Curaçao origin who creates a platform with his stories to discuss social issues.
