Students give tips on inclusivity
Late last year, INCLUDED asked students what tips they have for RUAS so that students can feel seen and heard during their school career.
Here are the top four:

1. Representation:
Teachers should reflect the student community
2. Inclusive community:
Feeling safe in the classroom and discussing difficult topics
3. Inclusive teaching materials:
Teaching from multiple perspectives including curriculum
4. Student welfare:
Provision and attention for students who need a little something extra
HR Academy - Increasingly in-depth
For RUAS employees, the HR Academy organises training courses aimed at achieving an inclusive school. We highlight two of them here.
The Course “Added value due to Diversity”
With your (teaching) team, you can take the course and work on a tailor-made inclusive learning environment. How do you teach 30 different individuals? Why do students drop out when they could potentially complete the study programme? Without downplaying these concerns, diversity is also an opportunity to teach students to be the best they can be.
“Inclusive communication course”
Take the inclusive communication course and become aware of how you communicate and how this comes across to the recipient. During the lessons, you will practice different communication styles. The course is suitable for anyone working at RUAS.
